Viva Las Vegas!!!!!

In September Randy and I had the opportunity to attend a global conference for Wyndham Worldwide (12 different brands of hotels). We left on Sunday, September 19 and came home on Thursday, September 23, 2010.

While we were there we had meetings and classes to attend, but when we weren't at classes or meetings we wandered around the resort keeping ourselves entertained. We were staying at Mandalay Bay, and it was a beautiful resort! We went to the shark reef and saw a ton of really big, cool sharks (and other fish). We also went to the hotel next door (the Luxor) and saw the Human Body exhibit. This was way cool, especially for someone like me who is fascinated with the medical field. On our "free" night from meetings we went to a buffet in the hotel and ate a TON of really yummy food! I was so full after we were done I really needed my "stretchy pants"! haha After dinner we went to a Broadway production of Disney's The Lion King. That was just amazing!!! What a fantastic show and even more fantastic costumes!

During the week we were trying to find a rental car so that we could attend a session at the Las Vegas Temple on our last day. There were no rental cars at all in Las Vegas, so we didn't think we were going to be able to go. A wonderful friend of ours in Las Vegas called and offered to let us borrow one of their vehicles. We were able to go!!! YAY!!! It is such a beautiful temple and we were glad we were able to go!

We then went out to lunch with our friends and then we drove to the airport with them (they were actually on the same flight home).

All in all it was a great trip! A sweet, dear friend of ours watched our children for us so we could go on this trip! I deeply appreciate her help and friendship! I cannot thank her enough for what she did for us!

Randy and I had a wonderful time together on our trip! It was great spending five days without kids, work, home, cooking, or any of the other stressors that are normal in life! What a great opportunity to rejuvenate our relationship!
